Just a personal comment to end of this post.

Creating this journal has taken me quite a while. I have put a lot of thought into each page and section. I carefully decided which birds, animals and trees need to be included and which I leave out for your children to enter themselves. I spent time finding out which species are the iconic species which other people look for and which are the ones that are commonly seen. Your children will likely ask why certain species are not included when they find them. Encourage them to try and draw them or write them in. Make daily lists of things seen, ask for stamps in the park shops and at gates, and stick in postcards or pictures. Use different coloured stickers to mark different trips to Kruger if you do frequent short trips. Have fun!

This is a book which I would have loved to use as a child myself and I hope that your families find a tremendous amount of joy in the little things when using this book.
