We recently had some rain, and more rain upstream. The river that run’s through Bakoorvlakte flooded and everything is green. It’s my favourite time of the year, when everything is so lush. It always inspire me to walk around, explore and take pictures and also its a lovely time of the year to do bird watching.
My husband and a saw a small raptor this morning and after being unable to make a proper ID on it, I finally had my camera with me. Third time lucky and it was a Gabar Goshawk. Walking back from seeing the Goshawk, I also found a Rock Monitor right in front of my house. The first time to see it here. Not sure what it was after, maybe some of the scraps I fed to the local colony of feral cats.
